Planes are so graceful in the sky. Gently banking into a turn, gliding on tail winds, gradually gaining height until everything is an ant.

Yet on the ground, they are a spectre of ugliness. Shaking and grumbling noisily during takeoff. Every bolt threatening to come apart. Dangerously veering off course if the controls are not operated smoothly while landing. If ever there was a place where planes do not belong, it is the ground.

Is Boeing listening? I want to see planes which never land!
